Rankings are editorial in their weighting and measured in their inputs. Nobody pays for placement. Where the operator has a commercial interest in a product that appears here, it is stated below rather than left for a reader to discover.
Who runs this
This section must name the operating team before the site goes live.
Commercial relationships
Any relationship between the operator and a platform measured on this site must be stated here explicitly, including the direction of the interest.
Paid placement
No platform has paid to appear, to rank, or to be described in a particular way, and none has been given advance sight of its results. If that ever changes, sponsored entries will be labelled as such in the ranking table itself, not only on this page, and sponsorship will not affect position.
How the measurements could be wrong
Every figure comes from one run on one machine. Two platforms could not be measured exactly on parsing because they expose no chunk-listing API, and those figures are marked wherever they appear. The methodology page lists the rest of the limitations, and the raw data is published so a disagreement can be settled with numbers rather than assertion.
Corrections
If a measurement here is wrong, we would rather fix it than defend it. Corrections are made in place with the revision date updated, and material changes are noted on the page they affect.
